It’s very easy to scroll through your timeline to see “Top 9” photos, engagements, babies, and fancy new things. We compare ourselves on these highlight reels we call social media, full of content that play right into our insecurities. Now we have got to the point where we are questioning our own happiness based on the photos others post. For some, 2019 was the greatest year of their life…for others not so much. I would like to think of 2019 as a rebuilding year, nothing that really stood out. Then I sat there…thinking…what seemed “normal” to me are things I had prayed about in 2017/2018 and even before. Everyday things that I had wanted so badly had come to fruition, FINALLY.
That right there is enough. Even little wins are still wins! Over the course of the year, some of what initially seemed little, turned out to be the BIGGEST blessings and opportunities for growth. From January to December, 12 entire months, what difference did a year’s time really make? Becoming even more independent, purchasing my DREAM car, moving to Winter Park, career change, a multitude of new friendships, & cherishing special moments with family top the list. I pray 2020 and the decade to come holds good eats with great company. Here are some of my favorite memories from the last 365 days!
There are many undocumented moments that hold a place in my heart. I am extremely thankful for the people and memories in 2019, much less the last decade. 2020 is looking up, and I can’t wait to hit the ground running.
Happy New Year of Eating Foodie Fam, Cheers!!
